FAQs:
***Do I need to buy a ticket?***
Yes – please purchase tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/brew-ha-brewery-crawl-tickets-1602610183199?utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&utm-medium=discovery&utm-term=listing&utm-source=cp&aff=ebdsshcopyurl
***Is the money going to charity?***
Ticket proceeds will be split 50/50 between the Florida Brewers Guild who helped us organize the event (Thank you!) and EmpowHERment – a local women’s community center that helps women elevate their careers and network
***How is this about women?***
All of the kegs are beers from women owned breweries or brewed by women (Florida only). Since Dunedin has so many breweries with women involved (owned/brewed or both), we wanted to host the event in town. While these breweries’ beers aren’t on the free-pour list, we hope you will support them on your route. The guest taps are a way for us to bring in beer made by women across the state.
***The event is hella long – what’s up with that?***
Since a ticket will get you 16, five ounce pours (essentially five pints) the event is intentionally long so everyone can drink responsibly. This way, you’ll have plenty of time to take breaks and grab something to eat. We also encourage you to carpool, rideshare, have a DD or stay in one of Dunedin’s many amazing hotels, AirBnB’s or Bed and Breakfasts.
***What about same day sales/check in location and times?***
We will have a table set up outside at Dunedin Brewery from 1:30pm – 8pm on event day . People can check-in or buy tickets there during those times. You cannot check in after 8pm.
***Is there a planned route?***
We will have a planned route, but everyone can start and stop whenever they want, in whatever order they would like to follow, as long as they check in by 8pm. A group of us will be taking the following route (no times specified) Dun Brew –> Caledonia –> Soggy –> Woodwright –> 7venth –> Cueni –> HOB. If you want to meet up with us, we’ll post updates in the event discussion board. We are kicking off at Dunedin Brewery at 2pm.
***Can people get two pours of the same beer?***
If you prefer to have more than one pour of a beer, you are welcome to do so, however you’ll be using up one of your 16 pours on that beer in place of another. We encourage you to try a variety instead of camping on one product, so you can sample beer made by lots of different breweries.
***What if I lose my cup?***
Don’t do this!!! You will not get another and the breweries do not have to serve you if you do not have a cup. You’ll need your badge, cup and wristband in order to be served on the crawl.
***This concept is kinda crazy – what were you thinking?***
We wanted to get away from the typical beer fest – jockey boxes in a park; so this is a bit experimental. We welcome your feedback as we would like to do this event again in years to come as well as grow it and include more locations.
***The beer is first come first served***
We feel we have plenty of beer to go around and don’t anticipate running out. That said, the event is first-come, first-served, and the kegs will be available for the general public to purchase, so if there is something you really want to try, hit that location first.
Can’t wait to see everyone!
