Break the Silence 2019

Domestic violence affects 1 in 4 women, 1 in 9 men, and 1 in 15 children are exposed to intimate partner abuse each year. CASA St. Petersburg and The Spring of Tampa Bay provide life-saving services to woman and families escaping abusers in addition educating people on how to see the signs to help victims & survivors. They rely heavily on financial donations to stay afloat. Last year the event was an incredible success – you helped us raise over $18,000 as well as 8 pallets of clothing and supplies that was split between the two shelters. With your support we hope to make this year’s event even more successful!
There are 4 key pieces to this fundraiser:
1. Beer – we will have several beers on tap that will be 100% of sales donated. So if you just want to come and drink delicious beers you will already be helping the cause!
Cigar City Brewing: Xbalanque – Imperial Stout with Cinnamon, Vanilla, Cacao, Chili Peppers rested on Amburana wood. 12.1% abv
Garagiste Meadery: Southshore Sangria – Melomel with Malbec grapes, oranges, cherry, apple, lemon and lime. 14% abv
Calusa Brewing: Batch 300 – Imperial Sweet Stout with chocolate, peanut butter and lactose. 10.5% abv
Cycle Brewing: Blend 3 – Bourbon barrel aged imperial stout with Madagascar, Ugandan, Indonesian, Ecuadorian, and Mexican vanilla beans. 11.5% abv
B. Nektar: New Wave Lemonade – Orange Blossom Honey Mead with blueberries and lemon. 6.3% abv
Hidden Springs Ale Works: PB&J Berliner & collab with Thirsty Topher. 5.5% abv
Green Bench Brewing Co.: Plug & Play IPA – Single Malt IPA double dry hopped with Strata & Citra. 6.7% abv
Overflow Brewing Company: Origami Aircraft – Fruited Berliner with hibiscus, apple, black currant, blackberry, strawberry and raspberries. 5% abv.
Escape Brewing Company: I’m Interesting at Parties – Double IPA with Motueka, Mosaic & Calypso. 8.5% abv
Arkane Aleworks: Nuclear Dessert – Blackberry Key-Lime Pie Sour. 6% ABV
2. Fundraising:
You can donate with the link below, or bring cash or a check made out directly to your choice of Casa or The Spring on event day.

3. Donation Drive:
These shelters are in desperate need of supplies such as personal care items, kitchen essentials etc in addition to new or gently used clothing and appliances – drop off at either 7venth Sun location from now up to & including event day.
4. Silent Auction/Raffle:
If you have something you would like to donate to this please message Devon Kreps or email [email protected]. Or simply mail, or drop of silent auctions items at either location. Donation cut off date for Silent Auctions items only is 10/14. These can include things like gift cards from local businesses, breweries, super fancy bottles of beer, art work etc.
Silent Auction will be open to all on event day at noon, ending at 6pm. (Attendance not required until 6pm to participate.)
